CREATING A TEASER SPOT BY UNCOVERING PLUSSES IN THE WILD

The vision for CNN+ was to be the essential home for transformative and interactive storytelling that informs, inspires, and incites a deeper understanding of our world. As part of the launch campaign, the "World of CNN+" teaser spot reflects the brand promise — "discovering the stories of our world." The camera observes what is already there, rather than actively constructing it. In some instances, finding a new perspective to unveil a ‘+’ becomes provocative. The camera’s gaze is a shared conversation with the audience — curious, clever, and authentic. Every found ‘+’ reflects the warm patina of life from the gaps between skyscrapers, to the crust of freshly baked bread, to the arrangement of cables in a computer processor. Using a juxtaposition of micro and macro, the visual spectra covers CNN+’s planned thematic content pillars. In order to get a worldy feel on the tightest budget, all shots were found within the landscape of Mexico City.
